Programme impact data
The impacts of the Unleash Your Drive program have been researched (up to PhD level) for a number of years, with very positive results.
At Grassroots Golf we contribute to this research by asking participants to complete a MTQ48 questionnaire at the start and end of each programme. This data is sent to the Golf Foundation to assist in their research.
We know this program has great potential to improve young people’s lives! The impact data below demonstrates this.

IMPACT REPORT – SAMPLE
Mental Toughness Tool Impact
The core objective of the Unleash Your Drive golf programme is to equip children with nine mental toughness tools and teach fundamental golf skills, empowering them not only to excel in lessons but to apply these skills away from golf. Pupils learn to navigate challenging situations, manage emotions, commit to tasks and boost confidence. These tools act as pillars of resilience, helping children overcome obstacles and respond to setbacks, challenges and opportunities.
Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale
The Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scales were developed to measure mental wellbeing in the general population and to evaluate projects, programmes and policies aimed at improving mental wellbeing.
Fundamental Golf Skills
The Unleash Your Drive programme introduces G.A.S.P. — a simple, effective way to teach the four fundamental principles of golf that players at all levels adopt: Grip, Aim, Stance and Posture.
